BIG BIG TRAIN - Woodcut - CD (limited CD + Blu-ray In Hard-back Book Sleeve)
BIG BIG TRAIN Woodcut (2026 UK/EU limited edition CD + Blu-Ray Hardcover Mediabook package, the first ever narrative concept album from the interational progressive rockers. Woodcut is the sixteenth studio album from Big Big Train and a pivotal release in the band's history, representing their first full-length conceptual work. Created by an international line-up spanning England, Scotland, Italy, the USA, Sweden, and Norway, the album centres on The Artist-a character navigating creativity, doubt, and inner conflict within a symbolic, woodcut-inspired world. Musically, Woodcut is a more band-focused statement, with all seven members contributing across its 66-minute runtime. Frontman Alberto Bravin steps into the lead producer role, shaping an album that balances scale and intimacy, while long-time contributor Gregory Spawton frames the narrative as deliberately untethered from any specific era. The result is a cohesive work that unfolds patiently, favouring depth and continuity over excess. This Limited CD + Blu-ray Mediabook edition is housed in a hardcover book-style package with anti-scratch matt lamination and includes a 32-page booklet with extensive liner notes. The Blu-ray features Dolby Atmos, 5.1 Surround Sound, and High Resolution Stereo mixes by Shawn Dealey (Sweetwater Studios), presenting Woodcut in its most immersive form.
