Tulip 'Flaming Flag' is a captivating example of the Triumph-type tulip, renowned for its striking and vibrant coloration. This bulbous perennial exhibits an upright growth habit, forming charming clumps that herald the arrival of spring with their elegant presence. Their subtle fragrance adds an enchanting quality, making them a delightful addition to any garden.Blooming in mid-spring, typically around April in the UK, the 'Flaming Flag' tulip brings a burst of color to the landscape just as the season begins to awaken. The foliage consists of grey-green, lance-shaped leaves that provide a lush backdrop to the vibrant flowers, although they gracefully die back after the flowering period. As a deciduous plant, it requires a well-drained, fertile soil to thrive, and while it prefers full sun, it can also tolerate light shade, making it versatile for various garden settings. This tulip is not only a visual delight but also a practical choice for gardeners, excelling in borders, containers, and spring bedding schemes. Its suitability as a cut flower further enhances its appeal, allowing for stunning floral arrangements indoors. For optimal growth, it is essential to maintain moderate watering, keeping the soil moist during the active growth and flowering phases, then allowing the bulbs to dry out during the summer months. To ensure the longevity of the bulbs, it is advisable to let the foliage die back naturally, as this process nourishes the bulb for future blooms. If necessary, bulbs can be lifted and stored during the summer for replanting, ensuring that the beauty of 'Flaming Flag' can be enjoyed year after year.Height: 45?cm (18?in). Spread: 15?cm (6?in).
